“Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.”

We have personal family experience with the affects of Dementia. Whilst we realize its unlikely we can change things for us, we have a desire to raise awareness and hopefully help find solutions for future sufferers and their families.

To help Raise awareness of the affects of Dementia and to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, we are taking on the Yorkshire Dales 3 Peaks Challenge.

1 Day, 26 Miles, 3 Mountains

The Yorkshire Three Peaks, in the Yorkshire Dales, represents a challenge for the keenest of walkers. To scale three mountains in one day is no mean feat and provides an exhilarating and demanding trek in some of the most spectacular countryside England has to offer. This region was shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago, and its wild beauty, with striking limestone outcrops and unusual rock formations, motivates us as we walk. We also see the famous Ribblehead Viaduct enroute. This is an extremely tough one-day event over wild, rugged and exposed landscapes; at 26 miles it forms an enormous challenge for walkers.
